February 15, 200818 yr Hello to the pilots of the marvelous PROJECT Fokker F70/100 in the FS2004-update-version V3.0I wonder if you encounter as well that the landing lights and the taxi lights toggle are linked and CANNOT be switched seperately? Thus the landing light cannot be turn off on the taxiway. Is there a solution for this bug? Thanks a lot in advanceMax
February 18, 200818 yr Hi Max,The short answer is: RTFM :-)The more friendly answer is: it's not a bug, but a feature that simply wasn't implemented in the original model(as stated in the documentation). Which couldn't be changed anymore.Unlike e.g. the ProjectFokker F28 (or most other default&freeware aircraft), visible TaxiLights and LandingLights (with refection of the lights on the runway of course) cannot be switched independantly.Just a limitation, not a bug.So you ARE able to switch off the LandingLights, but then the TaxiLights are switched OFF too.Regards, Rob
February 18, 200818 yr Author Hello Rob,Finally a competent answer, but sadly enough not a solution.I'm really not an expert on gauge programming, but I'd like to ask, if the landing/taxi-light gauge might be replaced by an alias-entry in the panel.cfg allowing to separately switch them on? Could that work?BestMax
February 18, 200818 yr Hello Max,Well, if it really bothers you, you can use the old light gauges as in the original panel. In the panel.cfg (panel folder), in section window04://gauge01=PF10070_Knob!AllLights, ....gauge01=PF10070_LightsCorrect!LC, ....just move the two // from one line to the other.(TIP: use Notepad to edit the panel.cfg).This will make it as it was originally, so independant taxi- and landingslights switching.Note however, that the Taxilight switch is just a dummy (i.e. it doesn;t do anything, since there's no taxilight reflection modelled in the .mdl files.Regards, Rob
February 18, 200818 yr Author Hello Rob,It not so much because of the switches than because of the independent lights. I guess I'll leave everything as it is.Besides this small shortcoming all three PROJECT Fokker planes are my top favorites. I enjoy flying them every time. The autopilot gauge is the best ever.GreetingsMax
