Fs route replacent ?

Recommended Posts

Guest 247

Hi all. I was just wondering is there any other web pages out there that do the same as fs route, it doesn't seem to want to work for me but i'd really like to be able to export flight plans into fs9 and i have no idea how to do it manually, thanks!

www.simroutes.com is my personal favorite as it has mostly preferred and real world flight plans which will let you kick out the fs plan file. You can also do PACOPS/NATS/AUS, etc. FS9 probably won't recognize most of the SID/STAR or oceanics unless the navdata dbase hasn't changed for those waypoints, etc..The other source is routfinder, which I use mostly for non-US plan building, in case you need to build a plan manually.Various VATSIM sites also have real world plans for their respective areas. I usually use those sites for importing the plan into Active Sky not for FS, though. I use the plan more a visual dispatch type deal and input the entire route into an FMC/CDU.Hope that's not too much more then you bargained for...lol. :-)

Any time :-)Simroutes is a free web based application. Once you select the stuff that you want for your plan (airports, etc.), it builds the plan, etc., there's a drop down box to download that plan for FS9, PMDG, LDS, and a bunch more. You can also print the page out if you like.Once you download the small file, you place it in the appropriate FS directory and simply load the plan from within FS.You should find it quite fun to experiment and learn with.
