March 15, 200323 yr I have been experiencing a frustrating crash in FS2k2 Pro every once in a while. I'll be in flight, regardless of aircraft I'm flying, and I decide I want to change the weather. I go into the menu and change the weather, but just as soon as I click "OK", the game stops responding and I get a pop-up window which states that there was a fatal error. It seems that there is a file called " NTDLL.DLL " that causes this crash. Only the game is crashing, not my system. This has been happening off and on since I purchased the computer back in December of 2002. It doesn't happen everytime I change the weather during flight. And the type of aircraft doesn't apply to this because it happens while flying all 3rd party planes, including the default FS2k2 aircraft. I have the game set-up so that it automatically restarts after an error crash. Once I close the pop-up window containing the NTDLL.DLL error message, the game tries to restart itself but it freezes. Another pop-up window indicates a "hungapp" error. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Or does anyone know how to fix this problem? My System:Compaq Presario 05Pentium 4 2.53GHz512MB RAMDirectX 9.0NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 420 (64MB)Any help will be appreciated.Thanks.Fausto (happycapt)
March 15, 200323 yr Author If you are using WinXP, I recommend you install WinXP SP1 and any pre-SP2 updates. I would also look for updated drivers for your controller and disk drive chips, such as Intel's Accelerator driver, if you have Intel chips, otherwise search for updated drivers for the chips you do have.
