The best long-haul A/C

Just an update on the range issue... I used the fuel planner for the RFP 747-200 to calculate the maximum simulated range. At a ZFW of 361000lbs, which was the minimum I was told I had to put in by the program (when I tried to enter 300,000 it told me "must use at least 361,000"), 0 taxi time, 0nm distance to alternate, and no route contingency at a cruise altitude of 35000 I can go 6729 miles. So, if I don't want to carry anything and be towed out to the runway, I can almost hit that range. Not that it's a big issue, but I tried to calculate a NWA flight from MSP to RJAA and I couldn't even do that with much of a load at 5400 miles. Not that I wouldn't still fly it, but it's range-limited as it's modeled.

How far do you wish to go?With the PMDG 747 I have completed YSSY-KSFO with a full load of passengers and approx 50% of the cargo capability(according to fspassengers that is) This was with a route lifted from flightaware.com .Im pretty sure if I lost some more cargo I could stretch it to something like the cathy pacific route KLAX-VHHH 14hrs 53mins.After that it may start to get a bit boring:P Mark
