HiI somehow overwritten my "effect.cfg" file.Is it possible to get it back?MC767

It looks like it renews itself each time you start fs2002. I tried this experiment by renaming effects.cfg to effects.cfg.OLD. Restarted fs2002, let it stabilize at my default location, exited fs2002, and a new effects.cfg way made.

Hi W. Sieffert,Thanks for the reply. I assumed that too..below is acopy of my effect.cfg [sprite Limit]Medium=500High=2000[Emit Rate]Medium=0.300000High=0.300000[Detail]Forced Distance=250[Emitter Detail Modifer]Medium=0.700000Far=0.500000Very Far=0.000000[Emitter Detail Distance]Medium=5000Far=10000Very Far=15000I this correct? Also from the drop-down menu in the MSFS the "smoke I"when ticked doesn't stay...even when I press "I" from the key-board the smoke effect works but when I release the key it stops!!Any thoughts on this? Thanks

Try renaming your fs2002.cfg to fs2002.cfg.OLD, restart fs2002, let it stabilize, then see if the Smoke selection works.
