Nav 3 Map Vanishes In Southern Hemisphere!

Featured Replies

Hi AllI've been using Nav 3 for a while now, running on a separate, networked PC. I find it great for following my flight progress and monitoring AI traffic, amongst other things. It's a great piece of software and its freeware!I've only recently discovered that as soon as I cross the Equator, from North to South, the Nav map vanishes! My aircraft symbol is still there, but the map and my flight plan are gone.Anyone else experience this and know of a fix? Thanks in advanceMurphy

Do you actually have to fly and cross the equator for this to happen? I have a test island ar S45* W45*, which is East of Argentina, but pretty close to the Southern tip of S. America and I can see the S. American continent.Visit http://nav.consequential.org/ and make sure you download the NAV3.1 beta, plus the detailed maps download.

WilliamThanks a million! :-beerchugI had been to Ted's site but most of the information at the top of the web page refers to V3.0 (which I had) - I didnt realise that there was a 3.1 update. I can now fly anywhere in the southern hemisphere without losing the map, so now I can continue my round the world flight unhindered! :-)Thanks again - much appreciated!Murphy

Or you can go back to NAV3.0 and feel like Amelia and Fred crossing the Pacific!!
