April 6, 200323 yr Great job Boyd! I completed an RTW trip just recently in the 767 PIC/POSKY, hence I share a similar exasperation.I found it particularly challenging because I avoided mainstream airports and flew more than a few dark and stormy/low vis approaches with less than ideal charting for such obscure airports. The only approach that caused me real grief was SCIP, whereby a physically misaligned ILS coupled with the usual dark / low vis settings took out my nosewheel on landing. I believe that you replied to a thread I started on this killer ILS and confirmed the misfortunate conditions at this field.Given that the misaligned ILS was a "feature" of FS2K2, rather than my omission, I cleared myself of the said incident, but it still leaves me wanting for a "clean sheet" RTW trip. April 6, 200323 yr Awesome!! :-jumpyMy dream is to go around the globe and i will surely do this when FS2k4 comes out. Anyone know the "must have" addons/planning programs to achieve this?I am myself a VFR addict and cant wait for FS2k4 :)Greetz
April 6, 200323 yr doing RTW trip is also my dream, I must do that some day. you know going the first round with the hevies like 767 or the upcomming SSW A310 (which I've just pre-ordered). and the second round do it with a single GA!!!! to view the world in different angle. One of my simmer friend is doing with the default Mooney bravo (real time and online weather) since the day of FS2000, and now has completed about 3/4 of the RTW trip. He has gone through some near zero visibility landing.
