My new PC does not like avsim, the library or the forum...

Hi allIm really sorry that I have to make a post like this but I am getting really desperate - not sure that this post is for hear either but will see how I get on. I have had my new PC connected to the net for about a week now and I have started to download stuff to install into FS9 on there (yes I have to start from scratch - does give me a good opportunity to clear out some old crap though). First of all I have had no problems with any other websites or forum's it just appears to be avsim. Basically when I find the file I want to download I click Download and it takes me to the page and the info bar comes at the top and I click on it to continue then it says Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage (as if it has lost a connection) - (but other sites still run fine). I then click back and it refreshes the page where either I click on the bar again or I dont get anything - just IE cannot display the page again. I normally am refreshing the page between 10 and 20 times before I can get the file to download. I have been able to download a few files like this but it is getting silly now and it wont download one without going through this process. Also when I try to log onto the forums it says that I cannot log in because the page I have requested cannot be displayed - cookie problem. So I go in and make sure that the settings are the same as before in Internet Options (which they always are) and I still get nowhere.I have been trying to download files from the library for a few days now and I am not getting very far. I have read the "read before you post" and have tried all the things that is suggested there however nothing helps. I have also tried to disable windows firewall but still nothing happens. The main difference between getting it fine on my old PC and the new one is that the new one is running Vista Ultimate and the old one is running XP. Settings are identical so I really am stuck as to why my new PC will not download form the library or acces the forums to post?Can anyone help?Thanks

Sorry - have just read this post (http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=119&topic_id=3801&mode=full) and seen many otheras like it, my problem identical to that of the post above. Will keep an eye on the linked post for now.
