How does quickly check to determine which direct X version is installed ?

Les, I think if you go to Program Files DirectxDxDiag, run this program and at the bottom of the window, it should show the version you are running.Regards,Mark

You can also go to the Start menu and go to run and type "dxdiag" and it does the same thing as well.

O am still using 8.1. What version are others using? Are there any real advantages to upgrading?Robb

The advantages are:The newer version corrects problems with older versions.The newer version provides an updated MS certification file for newer drivers.The newer version provides new capabilities.The latest version is DirectX9.0a and is available on the MS Windows update website.
