cockpit view killing frame rates?

Featured Replies

I am posting this as a new topic to make it easier to get responses. With my new ATI 3850 card I get unuseable frome rates after several minutes, which is complwetely cleardd up when I hide the cockpit, or look out the sides. Never happened before. I'm talking about going from 30 to 5 fps when the cockpit of just about any plane is visible.

didu set ur "target frame rate" to "unlimited".....if so....pull it back down to about 20-25 fps

The 3850 and 3870 is a major screw up of a card if using it for FS and it has major problems with Clouds... This was all fixed with 4870 which is a great card. However the 3850/870 is still very fast and you should not be seeing those kind of frames unless the rest of your system is low end. Do a google search for Omega drivers and give those a try.Rob
