TRK / HDG modification in FSX MD11 update?

Featured Replies

I seem to remember when reading the list of items in the FSX MD11 update that the track error on the APPR rose would be corrected, but mine is still wrong. The CDI still does not move with the rose when changing from HDG to TRK. In a crosswind the information displayed is totally incorrect. See below thread:http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtop...93&hl=trackRegards,Martin Neep

Martin,There is mention of change to HDG and TRK selection behavior, but there is no reference to CDI rotation in APPR or VOR display mode. Maybe I missed it, but what nr. in the changelist do you have in mind?Apart from that, it's a pitty this CDI alignment question did not make it in the very long list of improvements.Looking at the MD11's possibility to fly selected tracks, it would have been better to have the CDI indicate correctly in Track mode and take Heading mode indication for granted. That way it would be much more intuitive and closer to RW use.The observations you made a couple of months ago, where you started the original post on this subject, are still fully valid.I strongly hope it will not be missed in a next update round.Regards,Harry
