Set MD-11 default panel state?

Featured Replies

Is there a way to set the default panel state for the MD-11? In other words, when I create a flight, in FS9, with the MD-11, I would like it to start with this chosen panel state, always. Can that be done? Thanks! Victor Buck

Unfortunately, No.. PMDG hasn't done that since the 737NG..

Best solution is to setup your flight the way you want to (airport, time of day, season, MD-11 as you want it, including passenger/cargo load and fuel) and then 1. save the flight as default and 2. save the panel state using the PMDG menu. Then all you have to do the next time is setup the flight the way you want it and, as soon as you are in the plane, load the saved state. Somehow the panelstate is not saved/loaded right when you save/load a flight as default. Things work better when you save a flight as normal save, but of course then you won't be able to change anything (airport, time of day, season) etc. before loading it... Must be a bug because with the default flight (just as with any other flights) a special sav file is made in the PMDG dir...

OK. It's not huge deal to change to one of the PMDG panel states, then save the flight. Thanks! Victor Buck
