New to FSX (well soon), coming back from long break

Featured Replies

I've been away from FS for about a year or so. I just needed a break. Anyhow, I have a nice new machine now and I figured I would check on FSX since I knew my old rig from way way back would never run it. So...What are some high quality addons for FSX? Let me just say that my standards are pretty high. I've only ever used PMDG/LDS/RS quality planes. FlightScenery Portland / FlyTampa type airports, FSGenesis for mesh, ActiveSky for wx, etc. What is there for FSX that is high quality? :)

PMDG MD-11

I'll vote for the Coolsky Super80 (if you like steam gauges, no FMC), and Coolsky Super80 Professional (if you like semi-glass cockpits, FMC). Both models are framerate friendly, and have great support if you encounter issues.Visually, I love the CaptainSim 757 Pro, depending on how you fly this bird there are bugs though, however you can say that about almost any add-on I guess. As always, do lots of research on forums before you commit your cash to an add-on.Just out of interest, when you say you've just got a new system , what are the specs?
