February 8, 200917 yr HiWhat is purpose of entering transition altitude in CLB and DESC page?.Because I didn't notice that something warn me about changing to STD setting. In Airbus or Boeing if you put 5000ft as transition, it will start blinking at PFD.ThanksHas
February 9, 200917 yr Transition altitude may vary from place to place. It is just for FMS purpose when displaying level on climb and descent... You may notice that expected altitude or FL are shown and if you put a lower TA, higher "Altitude" will become "Flight Levels". It ease as well the way you may enter constraint in the lateral revision. And do not forget TA may be and is really often different in Europe between departure and destination airports (unlike in US)Hope this answer your question.
