MD-11 dark cockpit windows

Featured Replies

Hi Captains,my question concerns the dark cockpit windows at night time from outside view with all liveries.Cabin and cargo is shining. Cockpit windows remain dark.Did not find a topic. Nobody cares about ?Might this be a problem of Alpha-channel in PMDG_MD11_Glass.bmp ?Thanks for your replies.

Thanks and best regards from EDDF.

Just an educated guess but I'd say the 'dark' cockpit would be better to see out of at night for other aircraft. If it was lit it would be hard to see outside lights.Haven't tried it but put the dome light or emergency lights on and see from outside then... If it's still dark then your observation is valid.I can't light up the cargo version windows, only the passenger versions.... maybe me but I have assigned a key for cabin lights from the keyboard menu.John Ellison
