.air files

Featured Replies

I got a new computer and installed FSX and FS9. Everyone of the .air files in the aircraft folders is a picture of a brown box with the words Installer Package on it. When I click on it to install, it says the file has been damaged. This even happens when I install my addon aircraft from the CD's. This never happened when I installed aircraft in my old computer. Is this new computer missing a Microsoft program that the .air files need? I even copied aircraft folders from the old to new computer with a file transfer utility program and they were OK on the old computer but as soon as they were put into the new computer they were a brown box that said Installer Package. What a pain in the #*@! Hope someone can help. Thanks. :(

Read all about it in this thread. It's about "Adobe.air" and it should normally not give you any problems. If you want to alter the .air files, just open the files with AirEd as usual.
