March 15, 200917 yr Boy, I'm in the dark on this one because I don't know how G/A is supposed to work in the MD-11, but I treated it like a Boeing. In other words, I didn't expect the AP or A/T to do any work for me. As soon as I pressed GA, I dialed in a new speed and pulled the speed knob, then immediatly retracted flaps and gear. Then I pressed NAV to follow the missed approach path. I didn't give the plane time to do anything, so if the A/T commands a new speed or the AP does anything else to get me out of the APP, I can't say.ETA: The book I have says that G/A mode commands the current heading and maintains the current speed or Vmin +5 and climbs using pitch to control speed within the G/A thrust limitations. - Chris Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX | Intel Core i9 13900KF | Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB | 64GB DDR5 SDRAM | Corsair H100i Elite 240mm Liquid Cooling | 1TB & 2TB Samsung Gen 4 SSD | 1000 Watt Gold PSU | Windows 11 Pro | Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke | Thrustmaster TCA Captain X Airbus | Asus ROG 38" 4k IPS Monitor (PG38UQ) Asus Maximus VII Hero motherboard | Intel i7 4790k CPU | MSI GTX 970 4 GB video card | Corsair DDR3 2133 32GB SDRAM | Corsair H50 water cooler | Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD (2) | EVGA 1000 watt PSU - Retired
