747 installation order

Recommended Posts

Hi,I need to reinstall complete PMDG product series (737,747,MD11) but I'm a little bit confused about 747&747F with SP installation order. In PMDG Ops is this order:6. 747-400 Main Installer7. 747-400 Service Update 1.1 (if main installer is older than SU1.1)8. 747-400F CARGO Main Installer9. 747-400F CARGO Service Update 1.01 (if main installer is older than SU1.01)10. 747-400 Universal Sound Update (if main installer predates the sound update) I have these files and versions:747-400 VERSION v1.R01Universal update VERSION v1.1R0747-400 update VERSION v1.20.0000747-400 CARGO VERSION v1.0R1747 Sound Update FS9So, here's my question - did I have to install complete 747-400 pax including all updates and then cargo version? Don't be there any problems with installing oldest cargo version 1.01 over newest 1.20 pax version? Thanks.Michal Salek.

Please don't take this as an official answer, but I think the v1.20 installer is a complete install for pax and cargo, and is the latest. Here is a test: Install just the v1.20 and see if it runs without a predecessor, asks for validation and verify both derivatives exist. I could be wrong.. in which case it wouldn't be the first time. Regardless, it is an easy test to try.
