Grumman Goose wingtip floats do not retract

I can extend my Grumman Goose wingtip floats just fine by flipping the switches in the cockpit view, but I can never retract them. I flip the switches to the "up" position, but the "up" lights do not light up--the "down" lights remain lit--and my external view shows the floats remaining in their down position. Does anyone know how to resolve this problem?

I had the same problem and solved it by going to the controls in the fsx menu and assigned a key. Scroll down until u find floats up and floats down and then assign a key to them. I use the keyboard to move them up and down. I believe u can do it externally and within the panel and if i remember right the lights will also work from the cockpit view this way too. if you want to be able to just use the switch u will have to wait for someone with more knowledge than i have to answer. :(
