Take off problem

Featured Replies

Hiya guys,I would like some help on the next case: I tried to make a flight with a double prop, but with giving full during take-off the aircraft ALWAYS turns left and this always happens with all the porps in FS2002. Does anyone know howe to solve this problem????????????????Many thanks for looking and your help,L.Jim

Blame it on Isaac Newton. This is the way real prop planes behave. The rotating propellers impart a counter-torque to the aircraft, which makes it yaw to the left. The correct answer is "apply right rudder to counteract the yaw." If you don't have rudder pedals, though, it's not so easy, and using the wheel with auto-rudder means that you will be rolling the plane right to make the correction, and you'll have a heck of a time controlling the plane. If you just go to settings-realism, there is a setting for "torque." If you turn this all the way down, you should see this effect go away. (But turn it up again when you get those rudder pedals, OK?)
