Suggestions for a decent float-equipped helicopter

Featured Replies

Title says it all really, anyone know of a decent helicopter for FSX that can land on water? I'd prefer a freeware one, since I only need it to do a bit of location scouting for some AFCAD tweaks to seaplane bases rather than for proper simulated flights.Al

Thanks for those suggestions, in case anyone else is after this sort of thing, there is an FSX Yellow RAF RAF Rescue SeaKing for FSX kicking around, it's a port over from FS9, but it works okay.Al

Al,This is a jewel of a amphib, and is the easiest, steadiest dynamics, lights, VC, pilot, GMAX helio I EVER did fly. You ready for this: IT WAS ORIG FOR FS2002, by Bjorn Buchner, made 4/4/2002, available at Hovercontrol.com, filename: h500amph.zip, 1.8 Mb. Don't know how good a helio pilot you are, but this one will surprise you. I am a 'good' to 'expert' helio pilot and it surprised me all to heck. Amazing. The catch? You need to rename the panel and sound folders, then use the FSX B206 panel and sound. BUT, but cigerette butt, I used the more 'mellow' sound from A. Devins Bell222c (done so much MD500e flying-since FS98-that that 500 sound drives me bonkers. Hey, after 10,500 hrs of hearing it (even in my sleep!!) it's no wonder-heehee).
