AISmooth Crashing in FS9

Featured Replies

Recently, I have been having a problem with AISmooth crashing. I'm also running F.S. AI Separation and Radar Contact. I close the error notification box, try and restart AISmooth, and it immediately crashes again. The only major change I've made lately is adding AI Separation. I've tried starting FS9 with only AISmooth, and nothing has changed. I'll attach the error log if anyone cares to take a look. Thanks in advance!

Hi,What version number of FSUIPC do you have?

Guess it's something related to some sort of uncompatibility between AIsmooth and AI Separation.I've always been using AIsmooth (alone) without any problem (apart some weird behavior of some AI plane).AIsmooth (alone) only tends to crash after a certain time if you keep its window open, but if it's working in background it causes no probs (at least on my installation).

I'm using 3.85.

Hi,That should work.

Well, it seems like AI Separation was the cause of my problems. Ran AISmooth by itself and things worked just fine. :)

Well, I thought things were fixed. Now it seems like a matter of location. AISmooth likes to crash whenever I spot at RKSI. It's done it with different sceneries, too, from default to Overland's new offering.

I also find that aismooth crashes when I change aircraft, so I always select my a/c first, then start aismooth.

Regards,

Mark

Hi All,Please keep in mind that AI Smooth likes constant communication with FS. So if you visit a menu in FS for too long, AIS will close down. In the settings there is a Command Delay setting, but I have never messed with this to see if that makes a difference.Spot at RKSI without AIS running and see what happens. Thanks,
