Can you use the FSX ATC with PMDG MD-11?

Featured Replies

A short question: Can I use the standard ATC from FSX when flying with the PMDG MD-11 and FMC programmed? If I want to fly automatically with the FMC and the SIDS/STARS programmed for the runways, is this possible?

hey, it is possible if you dont mind being nagged to increase your ascent/descent climb rate or kept being to hold to turn to a useless heading lol. the only thing that this would do for you is provide altitude clearances and give you vectors to final, but since you say you will be using a STAR, these may not be necessary. i fly the PMDG 747 with FSX ATC all the time, it adds to the realism but can get anoying when your following your SID/STAR and they keep telling you to change your heading or altitude. if you are lucky then they will say "resume own navigation" soon after takeoff - enabling you to... do your own navigating lol. if you dont mind being nagged the go for it lol
