Aircraft missing after changing type

Featured Replies

I have a problem now when I change Aircraft. When FSX gos back to the screen the is no aircraft, only nav lights outlining the plane. Sometimes the screen gos blank. I have the latest Nvida drivers installed on my EVGA 9800GTX cards and IE8 just installed. I rolled back the drivers to the 182 series and it does not help. Would Internet Explorer 8 somehow mess things up? I remember IE7 messing up my printer. Thanks for any help,Greg

This could be a memory issue, either with your graphics driver or the system memory itself. I ran into this a few times when I had too many aircraft being displayed in the aircraft selection screen.I went into task manager, shut down any unnecessary apps running in the background to free up memory. Also, if you are tying to load an aircraft that requires more memory than usual (for instance highly textured graphics) you might run into this. See how that works out for you and let us know!
