June 15, 200916 yr hey, my VA is based at princess juliana airport. i have been flying alot around there lately and every time i got given the rwy 9 visual approach, this was fine until i got given a rwy 27 approach in a 737 :( . i believe that this approach and runway is not used in real life?? at least not for airliners anyway. my question is is there a way to change some setting or file to make it so that rwy 27 appears 'closed' to ATC? i know that i could just change the wind but i use real world weather so this isnt always possible. i believe it has something to do with an AFCAD file? or some other type of scenery file. thanks for any help, PhilipP.S had a quick look around to see if anyone had posted something similar, may have missed them, please point me in the right directon :D Regards, Philip Lodge PC specs; Windows 7 64 bit home premium, Asus P6X58D-E, Intel core i7 930 @ 4.0 GHz, Corsair XMS3 6GB DDR3 1600MHz triple channel RAM, POV GTX 470, 500gb HDD + 250gb FS HDD, 24" 1920 x 1200, 19" 1280 x 1024 GoFlight MCPPro, VRInsight CDU II, Saitek Pro Flight Radio Panel. June 15, 200916 yr If you have AFCAD, you can open the airport afcad file. Start AFCAD. When you search for the airport you can either type in TNCM on the Search box, or use the left side of the pane to scroll/select the airport you want to use. Once TNCM is found and chosen, on the right side of the window you double click the version of the afcad you want to change. If you have add on scenery you will have two choices. Either stock or MOD with a number. Zoom in until you have enough runway that you can place your pointer on it and right click to pull up the properties box. You will have on the left side of the panel the base runway and the reciprecal runway. Under the runway 27 section there is a check box to close the runway for take off and landing. Make your choices there. Then save the afcad file. Sometimes for me anyway it doesn't always take until you open FS and and then close it again. Then reopen it and you should be on your way. I don't have to do this but it has happened enough time that i make it a habit of doing so. Hope this helpsJohn
