ASA B431 station not written

Featured Replies

Hi everybody, related to a similar post I saw about the FSX ATIS being totally wrong compared to ASA ATIS (winds, etc) I found out something tonight. Without global mode, the weather seems to be written in the global section of FSX, and not in the single station. Yesterday I was approaching LFBT, FSX ATIS reported winds 260/4 ( ASA was 020/5, not interpolated), CAVOK (ASA was ovc 3000). I could see the clouds though! They were depicted, but not "injected". All the stations around were reporting IDENTICAL conditions! Closing ASA, clearing wx via FSUIPC, reopened ASA, same depiction, but this time injected ( well, almost, but better anyway), each station was different from the others. So I tried tonight again, leaving from an OVC condition, I saw a TS on ASA map at about 150 miles away. I went there. I was monitoring the reality xp WX500 radar for the TS to show up, but nothing. Lightnings far...still radar blank. In the middle of the storm...radar blank. But there was the TS, not correctly injected though. It seems that these two things go on separate channels, while one is updated/written, the other is not, causing the AI issue, wrong ATIS, and my radar not working (which is really bad!). And this is not happening with DWC on, clearly depicting the red areas of stoms. So with DWC I can use the radar, but not RC, without DWC, go for RC, but no radar... :( Fede
