1GB or 2GB on a GPU for FSX?

Featured Replies

Hello,Do I go for 1GB or 2GB on a GPU? Thinking about eVGA 285 FTW, only one available now in Austria is the 1GB one... but I saw FSX going on 99% on my VRam yesterday on my 8800GT 512MB.Basically I have a choice:EVGA e-GeForce GTX 285 FTW, 1024MB GDDR3, 2x DVI, TV-out, PCIe 2.0 400

What resolution do you play at? If you play at a high resolution, then more memory will help, Philip

I play either windowed, as big as it can go without maximized, or if full screen, then its 1600x1200.

1. Full screen only in FSX as Vsync has NO influence in window moded2. That 2GB card with that resolution on a single montior will not deliver any gain whatsoever1GB

Thanks!
