June 20, 200916 yr Hi Gang:GAH! I posted this here inadvertently.... sorry... reposted in the hardware section: I have the Natural Point TrackIR 5 w/Trackpro and can not seem to get it to work in FS9.- Windows XP SP3- TrackIR functions normally within Natural Points GUI. - All the lights are on when FS9 loads.- I've enabled the VC via Views>Virtual Cockpit and tried via cycling the "S" key>Spot,VC etc views.- I've disabled the head latency within Active camera.TrackIR works fine with FreeFalcon 5.0, but nodda in FS9. Am I missing something, anything in fs9.cfgI need to change etc? :( ThanksChops

Some custom versions of the DLL remove strings required by TrackIR. Ensure that the notification messages in FS2004 are turned on. The notifications appear in the upper right corner in red when switching to the virtual cockpit. The setting is found in your fs9.cfg file located by default in: c:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Microsoft\FS9[Main]HideInfoText=0

If my lanaguage.dll is not standard (The properties show Microsoft Corp etc.) where can I find the standard. The FS9 CD is all cab files so I'm not sure how to extract it from there.Chops
June 24, 200916 yr Sounding like an active camera issue. I would try their support. Mine fired right up out of the box, and I didn't install Active camera into this FS9 installation. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules

June 30, 200916 yr There is a copy of it, in the first disc, game folderHi Vince:That did it. Oddly the language.dll I had was Jan-2003 @212 kb in size, the CD file was Jan-2003 and 216 kb in size. I replaced the 212 with the 216 and viola' my TrackIR 5 worked and is working flawlessly.Thank you for your help.Bill
July 1, 200916 yr Hey :( ,if you have problems with Active Camera and TrackIR ... I think, I found a solution. By trying different settings, the rate of 0.01 (have a look at the picture) was perfect. With TrackIR and ActiveCamera I have no problems anymore.Dino

So setting it to such a small number my slow the interfernce.
July 14, 200916 yr I had forgotten something+ deactivate "Roll" in TrackIR-settings. This and the 0.01 setting will make it run perfect. :( Dino
