May 25, 200323 yr Hi All,I've read several posts that suggest frame rates would increase absent the inclusion of the VC feature. If so, is there a practical method for disabling the VC feature in sims :-hmmmJack
May 25, 200323 yr Don't know if it's possible to disable the VC,if it's causing an fps hit, then just don't use it.Personally I get better frames with the VC than in the normal cockpit view.Go figure...BestGrahame EDHLXP Pro SP1+DirectX 9.0aEpox 8K9A Via KT400 AMD XP2700(2250MHz)MSI GF3Ti200 128mb512mb DDRam Infinion DDR 333WD 60gb 7200rpmChieftech case with Enermax PSUTitan and Pabst cooling
May 25, 200323 yr HI Jack,A well designed VC should give as good, if not better, frame rates than a 2d panel, depending on the number of gauges used and resolution etc. However a big hit on performance (though not always reflected by lower frame rates) is setting high quality gauges in the display/aircraft menu. Often the movement is jerky with this enabled. A good VC should still show quite focussed gauges even with low quality set.Regards,Rob Young www.realairsimulations.com
