June 30, 200916 yr Hi all, I am hoping someone could provide me some assistance on an issue I am facing. I am running FSX on Vista 32 Bit. I installed SB4 as a module within FSX and it was able to run fine. However, it sometimes causes FSX to hang whenever SB4 connects and the active frequencies starts coming up in the SB4 box. Based on past postings in other forums, I have realised that this is a problem when SB4 is run with FSX with Vista and a solution is to install SB4 as an external application instead. When I run SB4 as a module within FSX. This is how I connect. I start up FSX then go to free flight and fill in the relevant options and I click on Fly Now. After loading, I go to add-ons and click on SB4. The SB4 box comes up and I click on connect. I am then able to view other multiplayer aircrafts etc. When I run SB4 as an external application, this is what I do. I start up FSX then go to free flight and fill in the relevant options and I click on Fly Now. After the area loads, I go to the Start button on Windows and open SB4 and connect. The active frequencies for the area which I started my free flight is detected and loads up fine however, I do not see any multiplayer aircraft. All the aircrafts are default FSX airlines. Am I starting SB4 as an external application in the wrong way? Would appreciate some advise on how to start SB4 as an external application in a step by step way. Also, I installed SB4 as an external application by clicking on "This computer will run SB4 only" during the installation process. Thanks!
