Changing Sounds

Featured Replies

I was wondering if there was a way to make it so that the engine sounds you hear in the cockpit are heard when viewing the wings, to mimic being in the cabin...Hope that made sense. :( - H3rn3s3

I know what you mean, but unfortunately, the Left/Right Side Window view cameras are placed at a point in the exterior which looks like you are viewing the wings from the interior, so the exterior soundset is used. I don't know if an addon such as Active Camera or Walk and Follow can create wing views from the interior. The only solution I've found is to set your wing view from the virtual cockpit view, which isn't that useful as you can only view one side, and if you have a plane which has a nicely detailed VC that you want to fly in, you'll have to give up flying in that VC.Hope that made sense, too! :( Cheers.

I would have also liked internal sounds on wing view. But actually, to increase performance there are two part models of airliners, fsx loads only one model at a time, internal (VC) or normal (exterior model). The same commands the use of internal or external sounds. So when you are in vc your external model does not exist, moving viewpoint outside cockpit only visible will be the aircraft lights suspended in air. I dont think its possible to tweak fsx to call internal sounds with particular external views.
