Between these keys and setting the angle of view in rendering options you should be able to get the view that you want/need. There are also various 3rd party plugins available for setting various viewpoints and storing them for you (check out x-plane.org for various ones). Personally I use one I've written myself which simply lets you define a basic position which you will always go to when you enter 3-D mode. I may eventually release it if I ever get around to cross-compiling it for the various platforms involved and clean it up a little (well a lot - it does what I want so I haven't messed around with it since I wrote it).I'm not sure what you mean by "cut out bottoms" but in 2-D mode pressing the same cursor keys should scroll the view up/down/left/right to show the full extent of the 2-D graphics. However I've noticed that some aircraft which do not officially support a 2-D cockpit won't let you scroll far enough to access all the controls. Most 2-D cockpits are still not suitable for widescreen monitors at the moment and leave gaps at the sides on such hardware. Similarly most only scroll down or perhaps up/down.One weird thing is where you have no 3-D cockpit in an airplane and you go into 3-D mode. Depending on the settings in planemaker you often end up with a 2-D cockpit floating in front of you :/ Perhaps that's what you are referring to ?Setanta
