changing spot plane views in FS2002

Recommended Posts

I had things set up so that by pressing (TAB)or (Tab+Shift), I could go clockwise or counter clockwise in spot view. But, after some tweaking for another issue, I lost this ability. I have gone into options control to reset this keyboard macro, but the application does not take. I know it can be done...but I sure cannot figure out what I need to do. Any help is appreciated, as always. ThanksSherm

Sounds like you want the "pan view" event commands.Go to Controls-Assignments menu and scroll down to the events "pan view left" and "pan view right".Assign them to whatever key or keyboard combination you desire and you're all set. Edit: After reading your post more carefully now that the coffee has done its job and I'm wide awake and fully caffeinated (I work nights), I see you already know how to assign these events, but the previous keyboard assignments don't work. I did manage to assign the "Tab" and "Shift + Tab" keystrokes you mentioned to the "pan view left" and "pan view right" events in FS2002 with no problem whatsoever, I can pan clockwise and counterclockwise in spot plane view just as Microsoft intended - so it sounds as if you have something else going on. Sorry to say that I have no idea at all what that might be, I tried turning the number, caps and scroll locks on/off with no results, it stubbornly continued to function correctly. Just what the world needs, another computer mystery! My condolences.
