July 14, 200916 yr I'm thinking of building a new pc but in the meantime I decided I'd go ahead and overclock what I got:right now I got my processor running stable according to the prime95 torture test (lol) at 2.83 GHz (up from 2.61...isn't that much of an improvement). After raising ONLY the FSB speed to 218 MHz I raised my processors rating to 5.2 (up from 5.1) and RAM to 5.1 (up from 5.0) using the vista test thing.I don't know why but anything above 218 MHz FSB causes problems....could it be the RAM?Any suggestions?Oh and I forgot to mention my specs are:Asus A8N32-SLI deluxe MotherboardAMD Athlon 64 fx-60 Processor @ 2.8 GHz (up from 2.6)4Gb G.SKILL (4 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200)BFG nVIDIA GeForce 8800GTX OCHD1: SATAII 250Gb @7200RPM-Windows Vista Ultimate x64HD2: SATAII 500Gb @7200RPM-StorageHD3: SATAII 250Gb @7200RPM-Windows 7 Beta x64It was nice....2 years ago lolol
