Hey all, Im flying the Wilco Airbus series and I am having a problem with understanding IFR in combination with fmgc so hopefully someone can help. I usually in input all the info into the fmgc and things work out fine. Only problem is the approach. The plane follows everything perfectly- takeoff, cruise, speed- but when it comes to navigation the plane always seems to fly directly to the runway chosen instead of turning for a full ils approach. Should I be manually inputting the course heading and disengage navigation after the ATC gives me the coordinates or is the navigation on autopilot supposed to be doing everything for me including setting up the the plane with final vectors? Apparently the plane is supposed to follow the navigation but it goes STRAIGHT down the line to the final runway. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

Are you actually programming the STAR and Transition into the FMGC or just selecting the Runway?RegardsRob
