July 29, 200916 yr Yes, Guys, this IS a sad story. VERY sad! And like You all say here in this thread/post... Its a shame, Carenado has taken a BIG step backwards with this. And its true, the never even released a fix for the Arrow, WE (or YOU guys hwo are "in" to computers, not me...)tweaked and fixed the cfg so that the Arrow was able to fly... I dont understand how Carenado and their team thinks about us FS9 users... For me its even impossible to understand HOW they can release a product without even TESTING it, it would just have taken the Carenado-team 20 sec. to discover this problem... IF the had tested it... if, if, if...So if someone could fix the Seneca cfg so that it flies just like the Carenado products ONCE did, I be the forst one even to PAY you for fixing this and... (I would if i could, but I dont know that part of the secrets of all the cfg
July 29, 200916 yr I completely agree with you.I used to be a big Carenado fan, but this release gives me a lot of doubt about their business practices. It is OBVIOUS that they never tested their Seneca in FS9. Seems like they just compiled it, zipped it, and released it for $30.00. Like you've said, these are not small, hard to find bugs. These HUGE bugs prevent you from even taking off! I installed their patch last night, and i thought it had fixed the problem. But upon landing and exiting the active, the plane started to bounce like crazy and crashed itself into the pavement (and no, it's not from a hard landing...the bounce starts when u slow down and starting taxiing)... i instantly deleted it off my harddrive...there goes 30$. It is not right for a company to release a payware and never even test it. I could have spent this money on something else (i skipped Just Flight's twin for this purchase)....well, this is my last purchase from them until they send an official apology to their customers and fix these issues. The flightsim community is small; and even smaller for those that purchase payware (judging from youtube, everyone just pirates). Anyways, these companies should really think about maintaining their reputation. Word travels fast on the net....-feng
July 29, 200916 yr Didn't anyone notice when they took the step backwards with the FS9 Arrow release?!I'd make sure that an OFFICIAL fix is released. Don't leave it up to the users, because that's just crumby. Please send Carenado polite but stern E-Mails, etc. showing your dissatisfaction! ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
July 29, 200916 yr Author ...By the way, at Carenados website, it says when the FSX version was released that "The fs2004 version will be released in the next weeks"Ok, so far so good, BUT keeps me wonder what the Carenado-team was doing during those three weeks before the FS9 version was released???... Hmmm...RegardsPer
