Starting FSX with AlacrityPC and FPS Limiter?

Featured Replies

I would like to have AlacrityPC start up FSX along with the batch file for FPS Limiter. I tried changing the startup profile in AlacrityPC to start up the batch file which then starts up FSX, (FSX.exe.limited) rather than the normal FSX.exe, but AlacrityPC shuts things down normally but then after attempting to start FSX, just restarts all windows programs and services again. I tried setting a delay of 5 seconds since there is a brief pause after the fps limiter starts before starting fsx, but I got nothing but a black screen and had to reboot my system. Does anyone use the FPS Limiter along with AlacrityPC For FSX? Thanks. Regards, Tom

I haven't used Alacrity in quite some time, but if memory serves, make sure the FPS limiter bat is set as a "Monitored" program otherwise it will act as you describe. The other option (and what I used to do) is leave "Notepad" as the monitored program. It small and takes up almost no resources, so you can start anything you like after Alacrity runs its profile and starts Notepad.Hope that helps...EDIT: I meant to say as well: It might be worth your time to test performance with and without running Alacrity. That's why I don't use it as I found no difference in FSX performance (Assuming a properly tuned FSX/OS install to begin with).
