August 4, 200916 yr Due to a bad systems crash which crunched my hard drive, I am reinstalling all my software on a new disk but when I try to install FSXI get an error that "This package could not be opened etc etc" making reference to Microsoft Flight Simulator X.msi asking `is it there`I have checked with my flile manager and the file is there ok but even clicking on ity direct bring up the same error message.I suppose its possible that the file has somehow become corrupted but how do I reinstall FSX.?? I don`t need the hassle of buying a new copycos my pension is not stretching that far these days. Is it possible to download the file and run it seperately but with the DVD in the drive.I would be most grateful for any helpThanksGeorge

Find the FSX related remnants of the initial install and clean out. Restart your PC. FSX should load perfectlyRegardsPeterH
