August 4, 200916 yr For some time now I have been really impressed with the capability of VOXATC :( , because after using it for a while it began recognizing everything I said without error. I just thought the voice training was done well. However, I recently discovered (by happenstance) that VOXATC is now recognizing anything I say as correct :( ...I can simply key my mic and fart and it will respond, "read back correct". I've uninstalled and reinstalled VOXATC a few times with no change :( . Any help or suggestions (except uninstall/reinstall FSX) would be appreciated.
August 4, 200916 yr ...I can simply key my mic and fart and it will respond, "read back correct".Im pretty sure this is acceptable read back in real world operations aswell :( Sorry man nearly fell off my chair when I saw your post, I don't have Vox atc but have been looking into getting it, I hope that is not the way it really functions, because then what would be the point. Has anyone ever had a read back not being correct?
August 5, 200916 yr If VoxATC does not hear your call sign when you first press to talk and say something, it will transmit the displayed text the next time you PTT. This is to avoid a situation where the user can get stuck at some point in a flight with the recognition system not understanding a transmission due to a strange ATC unit call sign or place name. If voice recognition is correctly set up, VoxATC will understand 95% of what you say. You can confirm this by incorrectly reading back instructions. For example, if you are told to 'turn right heading one zero zero descend to flight level two one zero' and you read back 'turn right heading two zero zero descend to flight level two one zero
