I realize that this post is directly applied to hardware only and is included in that forum, however, for anyone considering the attempt to use two computers and WideFS7 in order to release their primary system of some resources to get FS to run better; I thought it might be acceptable to the moderators to call attention to the following in the FS forums as well as the hardware forum (exposure). I felt that in a general sense, this does apply to each FS application/forum. If this thought was in error, please delete this post and I apololgize for my mistake.A copy of my latest reply to the issue in question is as follows:"MANY THANKS TO BIC!!!!!Some sixteen months after your recommendation, I am now implementing Synergy (Freeware). I HIGHLY recommend this program to anyone considering a dual computer system for any reason.I just upgraded to an i7-975 CPU system and Windows XP Pro 64 bit rather than the 32 bit version. I discovered that my Epson scanner and MicroTech Flash Card reader hardware would not work on the 64 bit system. No drivers for either and MicroTech is said by one reply to be out of business. I also had a few software programs that did not play fair on the 64 bit system. As I mentioned in my original post, I have speculated for years on going to a dual computer system in order to take advantage of what ever might be better in FlightSimulator with the addition of WideFS7. The incompatibility mentioned above has finally convinced me to go that route. This way, I am also able to retain my hardware and programs that are unique to the 32 bit systems.I pulled an old AMD1.3 off the shelf (Windows XP Pro 32 bit), and am useing it as my secondary computer. I may upgrade it to my MB and CPU from my most previous system which was a Core 2 duo system, but so far, it seems to be doing the job quite well as is.Installed Synergy, and just as you recommended, both computers work just great with the same Mouse and Keyboard. There is a wealth of documentation, but the secret for me was to follow the "running.html" instrustions carefully and in detail step by step. Works like a champ then.Only glitch on my system has been that they will not talk to each other when my NOD32 Eset protection is enabled upon computer startups. I can then simply disable their functions and Synergy kicks in and starts fine. I can then reenable the NOD32 functions and everything works swimingly. Now, to start getting everything relative to FS back on my computer and learn the ins and outs of WideFS7.Thanks again BIC! It is a life saver (or at least a keyboard and mouse saver)The original hardware thread may be found at the following link:http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=206217&hl=Respectfully:RTH
