August 10, 200916 yr Hello all!I have been thinking of slapping a 32" or 37" on my desk and giving FS a go in LARGE SCREEN format (even though I have a 30" Dell). My biggest concerns are image quality loss due to the large dot pitch. I will have about 4.5 feet from the front of the screen to where I am sitting. For those of you using an HDTV as your primary PC monitor and simming rig, what are your thoughts on this? What about 32" vs 37" or even vs 40" (side note: shouldn't the 32" have the sharpest picture?)? Pros/Cons to this sort of setup? Anybody gone from PC Monitor to HDTV and been content?.... anybody gone from HDTV and back to PC Monitor, if so, why?I have already come to accept the fact that my 30" Dell at 2560x1600 can wipe the floor with any HDTV with regards to image quality, but there is something alluring to a larger screen and a lower resolution which in turn will yield higher performance higher performance (Even with my current setup, the 30" Dell I am using can put a beating on my system in some games). I am willing to sacrafice the resolution in order to have a more immersive experience. Thoughts? Opinions? Thanks! August 11, 200916 yr Thanks for the response! The input lag issue was the reason I choose the 3007WFP-HC over the 3008. The 3007 has, as far as I can tell, no input lag at all. Still, the very high resolution really takes the wind out of your sails whe you play a seriously graphic intensive game.I actually had a 37" LG on my desk a few days ago and while the sheer size was just plain awesome, the very high dot pitch made it almost possible to see each pixel. I heard on 32" HDTVs this is not an issue and that clarity and sharpness is quite a bit better. I took the 37" inch back but still sort of miss the pael. It is tough going from the 37" and then back to a 30" and 23". If I went with a 32", I would either get the Samsung or the LG 32LH30. The LG uses an IPS display and has, from what I read, pretty much 0 input lag (I play FPS's as well as sims). It is also a bit cheaper than the Samsung. Will I really see that much of a size differece between the 32" and the 30" I have. I know the HDTV is 16:9, so I am guessing I will pick up quite a bit of width real estate. I am pretty sure this Dell is a true 30" while the LG 32", for instance, is 31.5". Another concern of mine is if I will really see a size difference at all. Right now I am in research mode so I am game for any suggestions and/or comments. Thanks again for posting yours!Ark,Your best bet is to do some research. Two forums I
