Is there anyway to run RC as my ATC and still use Vatsim as my online for my ACARS since there is hardly any ATC's where I fly from IAH to TYS, EWR, CLE for Continental Express?

Is there anyway to run RC as my ATC and still use Vatsim as my online for my ACARS since there is hardly any ATC's where I fly from IAH to TYS, EWR, CLE for Continental Express?

I thought about using RC for exactly that function. I love VATSIM but coverage enroute is often non-existent. I queried the forum for RC and was told that I could not do this. Might be worthwhile checking again though.Another alternative is to use VOXATC for the enroute portion of your flight. It works splendidly for this on my flights. I simply "enable" the software while enroute. VoxATC knows that if I am 5-10 miles away from the airport, I want to start it enroute. Then, when I get closer to my approach airport, I close VoxATC and convert back to VATSIM. Works pretty well actually.....
