August 31, 200916 yr Hey all,Is there a way to disable the head/body movement COMPLETELY in fsx ?also, is there a way to limit the visiblity to below FL100 to max 25 miles and above to max 40 miles ?thanks for your reply
August 31, 200916 yr Yes, and yes!Look for GaryGB's entry in this thread to disable dynamic head movement:http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtop...391&hl=headTo lower visibility, you will need to create custom user-defined weather in the Weather menu. Inside that menu, you will find the advanced weather button. Hit that and look at the tabs for clouds, wind, temp/pressure, and visibility. Using the visibility tab, you can create custom visibility ranges at the altitudes you require. I like placing thin cloud layers at the join between visibility layers to make them look a little more realistic. Jeff ShylukSenior Staff ReviewerAVSIM
September 1, 200916 yr Hey all,Is there a way to disable the head/body movement COMPLETELY in fsx ?also, is there a way to limit the visiblity to below FL100 to max 25 miles and above to max 40 miles ?thanks for your replyhi familyguy when you mean "completely", you had tried all the dynamicheadmovement, momentum effect tweaks already right? i face the same problem too and i don't think the movements can be completely eliminated. sure the head movements were greatly lessened after applying the tweaks but they still exist. just try holding your airplane in a tight bank and look around the edges of your display, the virtual cockpit will start creeping slowly to one side. September 5, 200916 yr All head movements can be completely removed. Just change all these values to zero (or copy-paste this into your fsx.cfg replacing what you have). [DynamicHeadMovement] LonAccelOnHeadLon=-0.000000LonAccelOnHeadPitch=-0.000000RollAccelOnHeadLat=0.000000YawAccelOnHeadLat=-0.000000RollAccelOnHeadRoll=0.000000MaxHeadAngle=0.000000MaxHeadOffset=0.000000HeadMoveTimeConstant=0.000000 :(
