September 6, 200916 yr Hellow fellow simmers. I just bought RC4 a few days ago, and I'm enjoying the new experience immensely - I'm also new to this forum, and hope that someone can help shed light on a problem I'm having. I searched the forum as much as possible, but never found anything that matches my issue. I did Tutorial 1 perfectly, without any glitches. My system specs: Windows XP Home SP3 FSX SP1 Several add-ons (Active Graphics X, LVLD 767, Wilco 737PIC)RC4 - Version 4.3.3845 Intel Core 2 DUO 8400 3.0Ghz 2 GB Ram Nvidia GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512 MB M-Audio SounCard I'm now on Tutorial 2, and I'm stuck on one issue which I can't solve. Initially, I flew this tutorial and was expecting the HOLD as would've been directed by Center (around "70 miles from MEM", as printed in the tutorial.) I did not happen. I thought I had done something wrong when installing the route and/or the tutorial, so I redid it, but I had the same problem (no hold.) When trying a 3rd time, I noticed once at departure that in the RC text screen, instead of displaying the waypoint information as "<MKL> XX/XXX/11200", it had "<2> XX/XXX/0". All VORs and/or waypoint were displayed by a "<number>" (example, <1>, <2>, etc.) and the VOR frequency had a "0" (not the numeric frequency number.) That is, the waypoint name and fequency info was not recognized or displayed by the RC4 display text. Then I tried it with the default FSX 737, but again the next wav point or VORs never showed up with their names and/or frequencies. It only displays it as a <number> with frequency 0. So, no wonder I never got the HOLD, since I believe RC is not recognizing that a VOR is being selected, hence no HOLD can be issued. I've tried 5 flights, 3 with Wilco 737PIC and 2 with the default FSX 737, up to the point where I should see the correct data on RC text screen, but it never has shown. As I said, I flew the 1st tutorial and it worked perfectly. I don't know if I'm missing a step or procedure, but I can't seem to figure this out. I need some help on what I could do to solve it. I have followed the tutorial as directed, opening each application when directed, and pressing CS-L (which is optional), but I have pressed it. Lastly, Tutorial 1 worked fine, the text info showed as it should have.Hope that someone can shed some light into what I may have missed or am doing wrong.Thank you,David David Bolaños Windows 7 Home Ed 64 Bit, GTS 250 Nvidia Card, Core2 Duo E8400 O/C 3.75 Ghz, 4 Gigs Ram, FSX Accel, GEX Europe and NA, UTX Europe and USA/Canada, REX 2.0, Active Sky Evolution, Ult Traffic 2, FSBuild 2, PMDG JS4100, 747-400X, MD-11, TrackIR 4, EZCA, Several Carenado planes, Quality Wings 757, Captain Sim 727/757/767, TongasFjords, FlyTampa Hong Kong/Boston, OZX Scenery, System Setup by FS-GS
September 6, 200916 yr Author I found a workaround - I had to create a new flight plan (same route and waypoints as the tutorial) within FSX, and it loads correctly into RC4's text window. If I use the included route plan that came with RC4, it won't work for some reason.David David Bolaños Windows 7 Home Ed 64 Bit, GTS 250 Nvidia Card, Core2 Duo E8400 O/C 3.75 Ghz, 4 Gigs Ram, FSX Accel, GEX Europe and NA, UTX Europe and USA/Canada, REX 2.0, Active Sky Evolution, Ult Traffic 2, FSBuild 2, PMDG JS4100, 747-400X, MD-11, TrackIR 4, EZCA, Several Carenado planes, Quality Wings 757, Captain Sim 727/757/767, TongasFjords, FlyTampa Hong Kong/Boston, OZX Scenery, System Setup by FS-GS
