DME Hold

Featured Replies

Hello fellow Simpilots and Developers!I studied your tutorial and the AOM with interest. Nevertheless I am searching for two functions for which I did not find any description:1. Is there any possibility for a DME Hold Function on Nav1 or Nav2.2. Is there a possibility to commence engine ventilation e.g. for cooling down the EGT after stopping for restarting the engines earlier?Thank you for this great airplane and your hard development work.

Jan,1) I believe not.2) Yes. Rotate the START MASTER knob to GND L/R, rotate the START knob to ENERGISE, press START and observe engine indications. Motoring the engine is only allowed to 15% RPM or 15 seconds, whichever occurs first.Regards,Nick

Thank you. Nr. 2 Worked fine for me.Concerning Nr. 1: Would be nice to have. Thought it might be possible through the "DME" knob on the radio tuner. It seems usable but I have not found any effect yet.

While it doesn't have DME Hold per se, the real plane has the ability to see the DME readout from the VORs that are in the standby positions on the RDU. This isn't modeled currently because it requires some serious programming trickery due to the way FS's internal nav radio system works. No promises, but I will put it on the to do list for the Service Update...
