September 13, 200916 yr There probably is no single answer, however if you do an internet search for "FSX Tweak Guide" you'll not only find the pdf "FSXTweakGuide.pdf" you'll probably find a whole slew of suggested tweaks on other sites as well. Some performace increase can be gained by just adjusting the scenery sliders and other sliders. Other performance gains can be made by "tweaking" or modifying the native FSX files. It does take some time and a bit of patience to tune FSX. In addition to guides if you look in the AVSIM file library, in the utilities section you can find a program that tracks your fps through various settings and that may help in tuning your system.Good luck!

September 13, 200916 yr .... and 30 fps is not good enough for you? To tell you the truth I dont think what you are seeing is wrong or bad. What REALLY matters is smooth. Naturally your frames will go down when scenery is in view. I dont see a problem at all. Why are you locking your FPS so high? Jim Wenham

September 13, 200916 yr because 20 fps is horrible tofly it's like a slideshow of some sort.i will not accept itIf 20 is a slide show then you have something set up wrong. With settings as low as you have them at, I think you said you had it at normal, then you got some reading to do. Here is ALL the info you will need.http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=29041 Jim Wenham
