starting without ground power assist on the J41

can anybody tell me is it possible to start engins only using the aircrafts battery power and not the availableground unit

"Smudge",Yes, it's possible to do an internal battery start. There's no special procedure, Just make sure the batteries are on, and they have more than 24.0v. If you're on batteries only, don't sit around with the avionics on, as you'll discharge the batteries fairly quickly. Starting with less than the minimum volts can result in a hung/hot start.Regards,NickPS - Sign your name, por favor!

You can setup the avionics when connected to a GPU - the AHRS alignment will be retained on battery power. The FMS looses part of its initialization when switching to battery power (I think this is a feature of the current PMDG version, not the real aircraft).
