September 13, 200916 yr can anybody tell me is it possible to start engins only using the aircrafts battery power and not the availableground unit Trevor Smith
September 13, 200916 yr "Smudge",Yes, it's possible to do an internal battery start. There's no special procedure, Just make sure the batteries are on, and they have more than 24.0v. If you're on batteries only, don't sit around with the avionics on, as you'll discharge the batteries fairly quickly. Starting with less than the minimum volts can result in a hung/hot start.Regards,NickPS - Sign your name, por favor!

The FMS looses part of its initialization when switching to battery power (I think this is a feature of the current PMDG version, not the real aircraft).
