September 23, 200916 yr Hi all,I'm looking at getting this system. Already have a monitor, HD, drives, speakers etc.Intel Core i5-750Gigabyte S1156 Intel P55OCZ Technology DDR3 4gb (2x2) - 1600mhzXFX GeForce GTX 295Corsair Memory 850W power supplyAntec Nine Hundred/Ultimate Gamer caseIs this a good setup? I was initially looking at a GTX285, is the GTX295 worth the extra dosh?Any advice is greatly appreciated.CheersNeil
September 23, 200916 yr The GTX 295 is slower in FSX, and can cause conflicts due to its dual GPU nature. If the only game you care about is FSX, get a 285 over a 295.
September 27, 200916 yr I'll be sticking with good ole FS9. Will the 295 outperform the 285? If so will the difference be very noticable?Cheers
September 27, 200916 yr No. Same story there. The 295 has 2 GPUs. Neither FS9, nor FSX are programmed to take advantage of more than 1 GPU.
September 30, 200916 yr Cheers for that buddy, I'll go with the 285.I have one other question regarding memory. The mobo has 4 x 1.5V DDR3 DIMM sockets, but the 1600Mhz memory I'm looking at requires a supply voltage of 1.9V. Is this going to be a problem? Can the supply voltage for the ram be adjusted? I'm a bit stumped now about which memory I should get, obviously want the best thats possible. Be great if someone could shed some light on what spec I should be looking for, its all quite confusing. Please excuse my ignorance. Many thanks

You definitely don't want to run RAM that requires such high voltage on an Intel system where the MCH is on the CPU, as is the case with Core i series chips. Maximum (safe) RAM voltage on such systems is 1.65V, so look for kits that state the voltage is 1.65 or lower.
