Hi jstonehouse,You can find more details about geotiles.tag here: http://www.agtim.ch/fu3/geotiles.phpMy GeotilesViewer tool is using this special tag structure. I remember juvat2 test in 2004, he was able to use it for GTL even this is not supported. The outer region grid has not the same scale than the geotiles.tag of a region. The Viewer is reading level 5 only and then convert it to level 2 and 0 generating mean values for the low resolution levels 2 and 0.The corner data of the levels must be identical in value or spikes will result there.I never take a look to the GTL files because I don't like the outer region :-)To use it for GTL the tool must be adapted to the GTL structure (undocumented now)Combining all 3 levels was just my design, LG was using an import for 3ds files but it was never distributed and now lost for ever :-(You can use the tag file tools from the modprog.zip as tagseek, tagview and tagwrite to get the table of content of the tag file and extract or import single levels. The input/output is binary. The tag utilities are working for all tag files, geotiles.tag and modelmip.tag also.hope this help a bit :-)Andre
Hi AndreMany thanks for this. I'll export some of the terrain elevation and let you know how I get on.Jonathan S.
