Awesome program, but a question...

Featured Replies

First I want to say, thanks for this awesome program this makes FS so much more addictive.I now have TP running and getting a very good 500 to 800 tiles per sec in flight with FPS locked at 25. The one thing that I don't understand is that of my 10 circles, the first one never ever fills or even starts to fill. Everything still seems to be running fine and keeping up for the most part but thought if I had an idea of why that first circle is not filling I might actually get better results. Is that circle supposed to fill? I have even paused the sim and left for over an hour and still nothing...Any clues?

Dual-Core 6750 overclocked to 3.2ghz

The first circle is the lowest resolution circle. I replaced this by a ring of static photo scenery that loads much faster.

Great. Thank you.I have one other question. I fly a lot of float planes and when I land on the ocean or lakes I have no problem but when I try to land on rivers where before I was able to land in the water, the water acts as land now and the plane crashes. I have even slewed to the river and the plane acts as if it is on land.Any clue how to fix this?

Re-read the Tileproxy user manual (starting at line22 of page 15 if you use Wordpad) about water blending, water mask, water smoothing and water threshold.I suspect you have the blend distance or water threshold inadequate for the size of the river. You might play around with these values and take notes - what makes a river work well may make lakes and ocean less attractive. Everything is a compromise...If the river (or the section you want) is not part of the NASA water mask, you'd have to make a water mask for your particular river(s) - yes, there are tutorials that tell how it is done.Loyd
